Where are we?
The Stray in Harrogate has hosted some huge events, but nothing as big as Love to be... Festival!The international House brand takes over with a full festival production - expect House music, dancers, stilt walkers, fire breathers... Harrogate won't know what's hit it.
Public transport
Use it if you can!
We encourage the use of public transport to the festival - The Stray in Harrogate is easily reachable by train, bus and coach! You can also sign up to the Harrogate car share scheme to see what local lifts are available - https://www.northyorks.gov.uk/roads-parking-and-travel/harrogate-car-share . Always remember to be vigilant, and ensure somebody knows where you are going and what time you’re expected to arrive.

face-value refunds can only be offered if the event is cancelled or postponed as agreed upon purchase.

Please check to see if you have taken out any ticket insurances that may cover your inability to attend a performance (Skiddle have a ticket refund protection insurance that you can purchase seperately).
Parking
We will be introducing a pick-up and drop-off point
There are lots of places to park in Harrogate centre, however we would discourage driving near to the entrance/exit of the festival due to the volume of people and cars on the road.
There is no park & ride service for Harrogate town centre.
There are many multi-storey car parks near The Stray, and there are also on-street parking locations with free parking and disc parking dependent upon length of stay. Directions
How do I get there?
Harrogate is easily accessible from all parts of the country by road, rail or air. Harrogate has a central train station.
If driving, please follow the signed routes to Harrogate Town Centre on your approach to Harrogate and do not rely on satellite navigation systems as these may direct you onto a route with limited access or temporary restrictions.
Driving directions to The Stray, Harrogate:

Via the M1 / A1. Turn off at wetherby and take wetherby road to Harrogate (a661) . At the roundabout, take the junction of a661 and at the a658 go straight on . Travelling past Sainsbury’s on the left and straight through next traffic lights . At the next main roundabout turn left to Harrogate town . A little along the road The event will be on the stray on the left hand side.

From Leeds - travel in Leeds Harrogate Road A61 - go all the way into Harrogate to prince of wales roundabout ( left to Otley / right to knaresborough) turn right , through the first set of traffic lights and the event will be on the right hand side on the stray.

From Bradford travel out through Yeadon on the A658, past yeadon , and straight on , through Pool in wharfedale , keep straight on all the way to round about at junction with the a61 . Turn left and follow the directions above .

Who do I contact?
Love to be... Festival is an open air, green field event site, if you require any accessible assistance, please email bliss@lovetobeevents.co.uk to discuss your requirements or make yourself known to security on arrival and we will help where reasonably practical.
Strobe/Special Effects – TBC, advance notice of any strobe or special effects will be available before the festival on this website page.
Drug policy
Be safe, and responsible...
There is a zero-tolerance policy at the Love to be… Festival – all festival go-ers will be subject to entry searching and bag checks to ensure the safety of all festival go-ers. Security will be on patrol inside the event and will perform random searches in the event of suspicious activity. Any Festival go-ers found to be in possession of any drugs or illegal substances will be ejected from the event site with police informed.
Smoking and vaping is not permitted in any closed structures, marquees.
Alcohol and own drinks
Can I bring my own?
You are prohibited from bringing in your own alcohol and your own bottles of drink (full or empty) onto the festival site, bag checks will be conducted on entry into the festival and random spot checks will take place throughout the festival. If you are found to bring your own alcohol onto the premises you will be asked to leave the site. Alcoholic beverages and soft drinks will be available to buy on the festival site. This festival is an over 18 only festival – Love 2 be…Festival operates a challenge 25 policy, please ensure that you have photographic ID for any alcoholic purchases at the bar, and random age checks by festival security staff.
Age
How old do I have to be to attend?
Love to be… Festival is a strictly 18+ event, ID checks will be carried out at the entrance gate and at all bars - you will be expected to have photographic identification on your person at all times.
Charging electronic devices
Can I bring a battery pack?
Please ensure that your electrical devices are fully charged for use on the day. There are no charging points for devices on the festival site.
You are able to bring in a power bank for your electronic devices.

Medical attention
Are there any medical tents?
There is a medical and welfare team on site should festival goers require any medical attention or have welfare needs, please familiarise yourself with their location upon arrival.

Show your support!
Love to be… is a friendly vibe… No political/religious or race related slogans, and no flags or banners with poles please.
Food traders/retail
What if I'm hungry?
Food is not permitted into the event site, there will be a number of food traders on the site of the festival, including vegetarian and vegan food options.
Sustainability
How are we doing our bit?
The Love to Be… Festival is committed to the local community, house music fans, and the planet. We strive to minimise our environmental impact and ensure the wellbeing of our attendees. We strongly recommend using public transport or carpooling to get to the festival. Our food vendors and retailers are encouraged to use recycled and biodegradable packaging. A large-scale cleanup will occur after the event, with all waste recycled. Recycling points will be available throughout the festival site for attendees.
Charity
How are we supporting the local community?
We are supporting The Ostrich charity this year, a local charity that aims to prevent teenage suicide through advice and support services. All proceeds from our charity guest list will go straight to this worthy cause. There will also be representatives of the charity on the day talking to people about the charity's work - you will be able to donate, so dig deep and have a chat with them. Weather
What if it rains?
Love to be… Festival is an open-air green field festival – please check the weather in advance and dress appropriately for sunshine and showers…don’t forget your dancing shoes!
The Cafe Mambo tent has an indoor area, but the Main stage is open-air.
What is not permitted into the site?
- Large bags are not allowed to be taken into the event. Small bags are allowed into the event with the dimensions of 30cm x 42cm (A3 size).
- Umbrellas, parasols
- Tents and gazebos, tables, BBQs, stoves and gas canisters
- Banners & Flags with sticks/poles
- Alcohol
- Glass or Cans
- Illegal Substances and New Psychoactive Substances (Legal Highs)
- Animals with the exception of assistance dogs, are not permitted at any time within any areas of the site.
- Dangerous or hazardous items e.g. knives, scissors, flares, fireworks, lighter fuel, aerosols, spray cans, Air Horns, Klaxons or similar
- Laser Pens
- Chinese Lanterns
- Bicycles, Skateboards and scooters
- Any other items not included in the above list that we consider to be unsafe or pose a risk to public safety and/or security.
- Unauthorised professional photography or filming equipment

The organiser reserves the right to alter or make changes to the published details of the event as necessary.

The organiser reserves the right to refuse admission or eject any persons for anti- social or threatening behaviour, actions likely to cause damage or injury, or failure to comply with the reasonable request of the organisers. Entry will also be refused to those who appear to be intoxicated.

Due to organisational reasons, re-entry is not possible.

No alcohol will be served to any persons under the age of 18. A Challenge 25 policy is in place and proof of identification will be required.

Event stewards will be entitled to search any persons & or their possessions anywhere within the venue. Staff will not take any responsibility for any prohibited items.

No illegal substances &/or any items deemed to be a potential weapon or threat to public safety are permitted within the venue. Any persons found in possession will be ejected from the site.

Recreational photography of family, friends &/or scenic views of the venue/event is permitted, except where other persons attending the event can be clearly identified as the main focus. Please therefore be respectful to other people’s privacy or you may be asked to stop & or leave.

Only mobile phone cameras and small digital cameras for private use are allowed: video cameras are forbidden.

Photography/filming/recordings for professional/commercial use is not permitted without prior written authorisation from the organiser.

All persons entering the venue consent to any photography, filming and recording as arranged by the organisers for possible future transmission or promotional purposes.

The sale of unauthorised merchandise is prohibited.

Please follow any direction/instruction given by event safety stewards.

CCTV is in operation at the event with images recorded for the purpose of crime prevention and public safety. All incidents of crime and disorder will be reported to the police.

The event area is a licensed premise. Please note when you leave these premises you will be entering an alcohol-free zone where no alcohol is permitted, or you could be liable for a fine.

Please be courteous to our neighbours when leaving the premises, don't drop litter & keep noise to a minimum.

No balloons on site.

No big bags or backpacks are allowed into Love to be… Festival. Bum & Shoulder bags are permitted. No bags bigger than A3 size are permitted on site.
